A predatory flying dinosaur that still exists? A derivative thereof?

This creature has been seen flying in the Yosemite natural park, and others.  People have died and their bodies recovered in the most unusual places. It seems that their clothes made them slip from its talons. The head is central, tilted to one side. A DERIVATIVE THEREOF? When was North America Re-discovered (after the Vikings)?

Henry I Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, Lord of Roslin ( c.  1345 – c.  1400 ) was of Scottish nobility . Sinclair held the title Earl of Orkney (which refers to Norðreyjar rather than just the islands of Orkney) and was Lord High Admiral of Scotland under the King of Scotland . He was sometimes identified by another spelling of his surname, St. Clair . He was the grandfather of William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness , the builder of Rosslyn Chapel . He is best known today because of a modern legend that he took part in explorations of Greenland and North America almost 100 years before Christopher Columbus . What the authors of this modern myth don’t know is that a unique tower has been preserved in Newport, Rhode Island.  It is in exactly the same style and method of construction as that used in Rosslyn.
